Astral, Beamscope announce joint venture
Astral Home Entertainment and Beamscope Canada have announced a joint-venture agreement to establish A/B Interactive to manufacture and market cd-rom-based home computer software products.
Combined, ahe, the country’s largest video wholesaler, and Beamscope, a sales, marketing and distribution company with a client list that includes ibm, Microsoft, Nintendo and Sega, service more than 10,000 Canadian retail outlets.
a/b’s cd-rom software will be manufactured at the AstralTech Americas replication plant in Boca Raton, Florida.
The new company is expected to begin operations Sept. 1. Sidney Greenberg is ahe president and Larry Wasser is president and ceo of Beamscope.
