Hart Award established

The Harvey Hart Director’s Award has been established in the Photographic Arts program at Ryerson Polytechnic University in memory of esteemed director/cbc tv pioneer Harvey Hart. Hart (East of Eden, Passion and Paradise) died in 1989. At the time, he was president of the Directors Guild of Canada.

Starting this fall, a fourth year student deemed to best embody Hart’s blend of professionalism and collaboration will be awarded $700.

steve MacKinnon of Toronto-based spot music shop Rosnick MacKinnon shared producer of the year kudos with Marc Jordan and coproducer Greg Penny at this year’s Juno Awards. They won the award for their work on Marc Jordan’s Waiting for a Miracle: Reckless Valentine disc.
