City goes on-line

Always on the cutting edge, Toronto’s City-tv has formed a joint-venture with u.s.-based Unapix Entertainment to develop multimedia compatible software from City programming.

City Online Interactive Services will ultimately provide interactive, full-motion video software targeted for distribution through interactive on-line and cable/telco delivery services.

Over 20,000 hours of programming from City and MuchMusic – covering music, movies, entertainment and fashion – will be made available, with new programming added as it is produced. City Online has a planned launch for 1996.
