Love and Human Remains release date

Love and Human Remains, Denys Arcand’s first English-language film, will hit Quebec theaters March 18.

Billed as a dark comedy set against the urban wasteland of the 1990s, the film follows the loves and lives of a group of young adults who discover their intimacy is being violated by a psychopathic killer.

The film will be released on Cineplex Odeon screens in English and in subtitled and French-dubbed versions. The English Canada release date has not been set.

The $6 million Quebec/Ontario coproduction was produced by Roger Frappier of Max Films, Montreal, and Peter Sussman of Atlantis Films, Toronto. Max Films Communications is the distributor.

The film is slated for theatrical release in the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Holland, Australia and the Far East.

Love and Human Remains was shot in Montreal in the fall of 1992 and stars Thomas Gibson, Ruth Marshall, Cameron Bancroft and Mia Kirshner.
