The sale includes a multi-year lease, allowing Hot Docs to continue to operate and program the cinema year-round.

The Toronto International Film Festival also unveiled the selections for its Short Cuts programme, which will see the world premieres of 17 Canadian films.
Docs from filmmakers Darlene Naponse, Nicole Bazuin and Peter Mettler are among the films selected for this year’s programme.
Hubert Davis’ Youngblood is joined by Mathieu Denis’ Gagne ton ciel and Gail Maurice’s Blood Lines.
