The film’s cast also took home a first feature jury prize at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

Other winners include Bobby Singh Brown’s Stealing Vows for the Audience Choice Award and Amir Zargara’s A Good Day Will Come for Outstanding Short Film.
The Canadian lineup includes a Trailer Park Boys spinoff film and two music-focused documentaries.

Joobeur’s debut feature Who Do I Belong To earned the honour at the Windsor International Film Festival on Oct. 27.
All 12 films are taking part in the festival’s Borsos Competition, which includes the award for Best Canadian Feature Film.
Each of the Whistler Film Festival’s (WFF) cohorts consist of five B.C.-based filmmakers.
This year marks the first time that the award has been turned into an official competition.
