This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Production Accountant to join a dynamic and growing television production company as part of our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative environment, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is looking to grow their career in television production accounting in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

As the Senior Production Accountant, you’ll oversee the financial management of assigned productions from prep through post, as a collaborative business partner working closely with producers, line producers, and corporate finance.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to production teams by managing day-to-day accounting activities for multiple television productions, including cost reporting, forecasting, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review production cost reports and provide analysis of performance vs budget
• Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate coding and timely processing of invoices and payroll
• Manage production bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, funding agency requirements, and audit readiness
• Liaise with external stakeholders including funders, auditors, and tax credit consultants
• Assist with interim and final production financing and tax credit reporting
• Support onboarding and supervision of junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in production accounting, ideally within television or film
• Strong knowledge of production finance workflows and reporting practices; strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple productions simultaneously
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Canadian funding bodies and tax credit programs considered a strong asset
• Completion of or active enrollment in the CPA designation
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
