The sales wing of Shaftesbury Films has closed another three deals for Life with Derek, sending the family sitcom to the Disney Channel in Portugal, Zapp/Zappelin in the Netherlands and NRK 3 in Norway.

The series, which runs here on Family Channel, now airs in 12 languages and in more than 100 countries, including France, the U.K., Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

‘The MacDonald-Venturi household appeals to kids and families worldwide,’ said Shaftesbury VP Shane Kinnear in a statement, referring to the family in the show. ‘The warmth and authenticity of the stories is what makes this show a hit.’ Life with Derek is distributed by Shaftesbury Sales Company.
