Synesthesia, Fred Heads among BravoFACTUAL recipients

Canadian funder BravoFACT has named 11 documentary shorts that will receive support from its inaugural BravoFACTUAL fund.

The recipients were selected from 98 applications and will share $490,000  (Picin production financing. The BravoFACTUAL jury held its inaugural meeting on Monday (Dec. 9).

“Congratulations to all the inaugural BravoFACTUAL award recipients,” said Catherine MacLeod, SVP of specialty channels at Bell Media. “We’re so pleased to be able to give these very talented filmmakers the opportunity to enrich the documentary format in Canada.”

The next BravoFACTUAL submission deadline is Feb. 21, and for drama fund BravoFACT the next deadline is March 7.
