Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada and Three Little Birds Productions are pacting to release actress Danielle Harris’ directorial debut Among Friends in the Canadian home entertainment market next year.

The horror thriller, produced by Jennifer Blanc and Alyssa Lobit, portrays a group of friends at a murder mystery party that takes a dark turn when one friend hijacks the evening and is out for blood.

The ensemble cast for Among Friends includes Christopher Backus, AJ Bowen, Dana Daurey, Brianne Davis and Kane Hodder.

“Among Friends is a festival favourite featuring a well respected ensemble cast of much loved horror movie actors and is a fantastic directorial debut from Danielle Harris’, said Susan Curran, director of marketing and acquisitions for Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada, said in a statement Thursday.

The genre pic was just screened at DedFest in Edmonton.

Jay Lobit of Three Little Birds Productions and William Allison of Hollywood Treasures executive produced the film.
