Mance Media to shop Zoo Diaries, Urban Angels

Hollywood-based producer/distributor Mance Media has picked up global rights to two series from Toronto-based Microtainment Plus Productions.

Zoo Diaries (74 x 30 minutes), originally airing on The Life Network in Canada, documents the lives of animals in various North American zoos, and the people who work with them. Urban Angels (13 x 30 minutes), meanwhile, follows the doctors who work at St. Michael’s Hospital in downtown Toronto. It previously aired on Discovery Channel in Canada.

“Mance Media is the just the kind of organization we believe can make a success with our shows,” said Garry Blye, CEO of Microtainment Plus Productions. “They are young and hungry, and relentless about pursuing a sale.”

“We are looking forward to a very successful market and the addition of these series to our line up will go a long way towards insuring we reach our goal,” said Mance Media CEO Matthew Mancinelli (pictured).
