Nova Scotia, Canada-based animation and gaming studio Huminah Huminah, which has animated TV series such as Mike the Knight (pictured) and gaming projects like Guitar Hero 5, has opened up a new studio in Hamilton, ON (pictured).

The company says the Ontario Media Development Corporation’s regional tax credit bonus helped drive the decision to set up shop in Ontario.

Huminah Huminah has plans to hire betwee 10 and 15 artists and animators over the next six months.

To date, the service studio, which staffs approximately 75 in-house animators and programmers, has created content for children’s TV, internet, Xbox 360, Wii, NintendoDS, Facebook, PC/Mac, Android and iOS platforms.

Clients for interactive new media projects include Zapak, iWin, Hasbro, Activision, Nickelodeon, Disney and MTV.
