Teletoon has given a first series order to the cartoon Camp Lakebottom from Skywriter Media and Entertainment.

The cartoon cable channel has ordered 26 episodes of the animated half-hour comedy about the summer adventures of campers and their zombie counselors, to be delivered in fall 2012.

Teletoon and Skywriter first unveiled Camp Lakebottom, then in development, in February 2011.

The series was created by Betsy McGowen, a former Kids WB! Exec, and Eric Jacobson, a former senior exec at Walt Disney Engineering.

Also developing the cartoon was Skywriter’s Meghan Davies, Teletoon’s Athena Georgaklis, manager of original productions and Alan Gregg, director of original content.

Rob Pincombe and Shelley Hoffman head up the writers room for Camp Lakebottom, with Phil Lafrance and Jamie Leclaire directing.
