Canadian actor Adam Beach is returning from Los Angeles to take the lead role in the CBC’s Arctic Air drama from series creator Ian Weir and Omni Film Productions.

Beach, who’s coming off star-turns in HBO’s Big Love and NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, will top-line the adventure series set in Yellowknife and scheduled for a winter 2012 bow on the CBC.

Beach’s credits include the CBC series North of 60, John Woo’s Windtalkers, Clint Eastwood’s Flags of our Fathers and will perform opposite Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig in the upcoming film Cowboys & Aliens.
