Nickelodeon renews PAW Patrol and spinoff Rubble & Crew

Spin Master's hit preschool series is going into season 11, and its construction-centric offshoot will return with 26 fresh episodes.

Nickelodeon has greenlit season 11 of Spin Master Entertainment’s PAW Patrol, and ordered a second season of the spinoff Rubble & Crew, with both preschool shows getting an additional 26 x 30-minute episodes.

The decade-old PAW Patrol franchise centres on a squad of young canines (“pups”) who head out on search-and-rescue missions, equipped with specialized backpacks and vehicles.

Spin Master is the producer on all of the brand’s entertainment content, with Toronto’s Guru Studio handling animation.

According to Nick, PAW Patrol currently airs in more than 180 territories and 35 languages. Spinoff series Rubble & Crew debuted this February and revolves around fan-favorite bulldog Rubble and his family’s construction projects.

The PAW Patrol IP has been making a lot of fresh moves this year as it approaches its 10th anniversary on Aug. 12. Spin Master rolled out an interactive game last month and produced the first-ever crossover episode of PAW Patrol and Rubble & Crew, which Nick will air on Monday (July 31).

Additionally, six-part special PAW Patrol: Moto Pups will debut on Paramount+ on Aug. 11. A second feature film called PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, which Spin produced with Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures, is due out on Sept. 29. It follows up PAW Patrol: The Movie, which simultaneously rolled out in theaters and on Paramount+ in 2021 and earned more than US$144 million at the global box office.
