Ottawa-based distributor Bejuba! Entertainment has signed on as the international distributor for the upcoming preschool series Circle Square (40 x 7 minutes).

Created by London, U.K.-based prodco The Brothers McLeod, the project is a 2D comedy series that deals with themes such as tolerance, diversity and being a good neighbour. Set on an island, the animated series follows the lives of nine households whose inhabitants come from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds.

It is produced by Cornwall, U.K.-based Spider Eye and Dublin, Ireland-based Kavaleer Productions. Production is set to begin later this year.

Circle Square has already been sold to CBeebies, RTE Ireland, YLE Finland and SVT Sweden, with Bejuba! looking to close a number of other pre-sales before production begins. The project is currently scheduled for delivery in 2019.
