Showcase has renewed Travelers for a second season.
The time-travel drama, which is written, created and executive produced by Stargate co-creator Brad Wright, is produced by Toronto’s Peacock Alley Entertainment, in association with Showcase and Netflix.
Filming on new episodes is set to begin next month Vancouver, with season two scheduled to begin airing on Showcase this fall. Outside of Canada, the second season will begin streaming on Netflix on a to-be-determined date.
Travelers stars Eric McCormack, Jared Abrahamson, Nesta Cooper, Reilly Dolman, Patrick Gilmore, and MacKenzie Porter and tells the story of a group of the last surviving humans on earth who discover how to send consciousness back in time to the 21st century.
The series was developed initially at the CFC’s Prime Time TV Program in 2014-15 when Wright was the executive producer in residence.
Travelers is distributed internationally by Sky Vision.
