* Peter Moss has gone from EVP of programming to creative consultant at Corus Entertainment’s TV division, looking to concentrate more on producing and directing. Meanwhile, Phil Piazza has been appointed VP of programming for children’s television, a position previously held by Joanna Webb, who is now VP of programming at Corus-owned W Network.

* Ken MacDonald is now VP of programming at Discovery Channel, replacing Jill Offman. The former exec producer for Discovery’s in-house programming will now be responsible for strategic programming.

* Wendy MacKeigan has stepped down as chair and president of The Harold Greenberg Fund, ending a 10-year stay at the Astral Media outlet to spend more time with her ailing mother. Her replacement is expected within a few months.

* Cameron Bailey has been appointed international programmer at the Toronto International Film Festival, responsible for showcasing films from Africa, South Asia, the U.S. and Europe. Bailey previously worked at TIFF from 1990 to 1997 and founded its Planet Africa program.

* Jason Beaudry has taken over as exec director of Cinéfest Sudbury, replacing Tammy Frick. Beaudry has been with the fest since 1999 and became managing director in 2003.

* Martine Maltais is now business manager at NABET 700 CEP, the Ontario-based technicians union. Maltais formerly worked with the Association québécoise des réalisateurs et réalisatrices de cinéma et de télévision, now the ARRQ.

* Marit Stiles is the new director of research at ACTRA. Her experience includes a six-year stint as a researcher for the Ontario NDP caucus.

* Docmaker Sun-Kyung Yi (Thai Girls) has been named program executive in residence for CBC’ s independent documentary unit, a new position intended to improve cultural diversity. She will work with the editors of documentary series such as Rough Cuts and The Passionate Eye.
