CBC launches Schitt’s Creek FAST channel

The dedicated channel for the Emmy-winning comedy series is live now on CBC Gem.

CBC is expanding its FAST channel portfolio with the launch of a new channel dedicated to the CBC comedy series Schitt’s Creek.

The FAST channel, which is live now on CBC Gem, includes all six seasons of the series, as well as the hour-long special Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt’s Creek Farewell. It joins other dedicated channels for series such as Heartland and Murdoch Mysteries.

Co-created by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, Schitt’s Creek follows a wealthy family who suddenly find themselves broke and forced to live in a small town they once bought as a joke. Alongside the father-and-son Levys, the series stars Catherine O’Hara, Annie Murphy, Chris Elliott and Emily Hampshire. Dan Levy’s Not A Real Company Productions produced the series.

Debuting on CBC in 2015, Schitt’s Creek went on to become a critical and commercial success in the U.S. after it was acquired by Netflix. The series’ final season earned nine Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards.

According to CBC, Schitt’s Creek was the third most-watched program on CBC Gem between April 2024 and March of this year.
