Prime Video original Hazbin Hotel is back at the top of the digital originals chart ahead of its season two premiere on Oct. 29.
The adult animated musical series was 44.8 times more in demand than the average series in Canada during the week of Oct. 6 to 12, according to Parrot Analytics, and landed at No. 5 on the overall chart.
Hazbin Hotel had a long streak at the top of the Canadian demand charts after season one premiered on Prime Video on Jan. 19, 2024.
Leading the overall TV chart was NBC’s Saturday Night Live (49), unseating last week’s top title The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (45.4), which fell to No. 4 for the week, despite only dropping one demand point week-over-week.
Rounding out the top three are Comedy Central’s The Daily Show (47.6) and Sesame Street (45.8). The latter begins its day-and-date run on Netflix and PBS next month.
Last week’s top digital original Peacemaker (42.9), which airs on Crave in Canada, landed at No. 2 for the week, as well as No. 6 overall, though its demand remained steady week-over-week. Netflix’s Stranger Things (36.6) topped Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty (31.1) to land at No. 3.
New to the digital chart for the week is Netflix’s Monster (27.5). The third installment of the anthology series, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, premiered on Oct. 3.

Parrot Analytics calculates its Top 10 lists using Demand Expressions, which are shown by using a metric that demonstrates how much more in-demand the top series are than the average TV show (linear, pay TV, SVOD and AVOD) in Canada. For example, a difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market. Demand is defined as the total audience demand being expressed for a title within a market. Audience demand reflects the desire, engagement and viewership, weighted by importance; thus, a stream or download is a higher expression of demand than a “like” or comment.
