Bell Media-owned streamer Crave has picked up the drama Half Man from Banijay Rights.

The six-part series follows two men, played by Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell, over the course of nearly 40 years as they face the highs and lows of their lives as teenagers and adults.

Gadd (Baby Reindeer) created the series, which is produced by Mam Tor Productions in partnership with HBO Max.

The deal with Crave was announced at MIPCOM this week, with Stan also picking up the series for Australia.

Epic Story Media

Epic Story Media Distribution has picked up global sales rights to Compass Films’ upcoming 2D-animated series Ormhildur the Brave (26 x 22 minutes).

In this fantasy/adventure series for ages seven and up, a young girl teams up with mythical creatures to help restore the frozen land the beings come from.

Epic Story has worldwide rights to the series, excluding some Nordic countries where the series has already been presold.

Ormhildur the Brave is a coproduction between Reykjavik-based Compass Films, Projects (Iceland), Animation Studio Iceland and Letko (Poland). Several Nordic broadcasters are on board as coproducers, including KiKA and NDR (Germany), YLE (Finland), DR (Denmark) and NRK (Norway).

The series is in production now for a Q1 2026 delivery. Compass is also developing a 45-minute Christmas special called Ormhildur and the Christmas Creeps.

Kidoodle

Calgary-headquartered streaming service Kidoodle.TV has acquired five seasons of the 2D-animated preschool series Tatty and Misifu (57 x 5 minutes; Toy Town Kids) from London-based distributor Media I.M.

The series sees a young witch and her kitten companion go on adventures in a magical fantasy world.

Tatty and Misifu was also picked up by New York-based Janson Media for Prime Video and the U.S. AVOD platform HappyKids.
