Rogers Sports & Media expands Citytv+ to direct-to-consumer

Rogers has also bundled the streaming service with Sportsnet+'s standard plan.

Citytv+ is now available for direct-to-consumer (DTC) as part of an expansion and bundle announced by Rogers Sports & Media on Monday (Sept. 22).

Customers can directly subscribe to the streamer across major platforms, including Apple and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, Rogers Xfinity and online through the Citytvplus.ca website. It was previously only available via Prime Video Channels.

Rogers also launched a bundle for Citytv+ and the standard Sportsnet+ plan for $31.99 per month. Individually, a Citytv+ subscription costs $9.99 per month (or $99 per year), and a standard Sportsnet+ plan is $29.99 per month (or $249.99 per year).

The bundle is available for purchase through the Citytv+ and Sportsnet+ websites.

Citytv+ features programming from across Rogers Sports & Media’s linear channels Citytv, Omni Television, FX, Bravo, Discovery, Magnolia, Discovery ID, Food Network and HGTV as well as acquired content from Cooking Channel, OWN, Motor Trend, Animal Planet and Discovery Science.

Original programs include Citytv’s Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (Lark Productions, Cameron Pictures), Hudson & Rex (Shaftesbury, Pope Productions) and Canada’s Got Talent (Fremantle, SYCO Entertainment, McGillivray Entertainment Media), as well as upcoming lifestyle series Come Dine With Me Canada (Blink49 Studios) and Bake Master Battle, hosted by executive producer Dina Pugliese.

The announcement follows a wave of bundle launches in the Canadian market in 2025, including a Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+ bundle rolled out by Rogers in Western Canada last month.

Bell Media bundled Crave and its sports streamers TSN and RDS back in January, followed by a Crave/Disney+/Netflix bundle from Bell in August.
