Montreal’s Immina Films has signed a distribution pact with Amazon MGM Studios.
Announced Monday (July 28), the deal will see Immina sub-distribute upcoming Amazon MGM titles in Quebec.
The first release planned under the agreement is Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt (pictured), set for a theatrical release on Oct. 10. The film stars Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg, Chloë Sevigny and Ayo Edebiri.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s Project Hail Mary, starring London, Ont.-born Ryan Gosling and Sandra Hüller, is also on Immina’s slate from Amazon MGM, an Immina spokesperson told Playback Daily. The film is set for a theatrical release on March 20, 2026.
Immina president Patrick Roy said in a statement that Sarah Timlick, Amazon MGM’s head of theatrical distribution, Canada, approached Immina about the deal. The former Elevation Pictures exec joined Amazon MGM in March, marking the studio’s first hire for its international distribution division.
“Working with Immina gives Amazon MGM local expertise and deep-rooted connections to ensure our films resonate authentically and powerfully with Quebec audiences,” said Timlick.
