Montreal-based C3 Media, part of the Cineflix Media group, has appointed veteran Canadian media executive and former Vice Media EVP Michael Kronish as its new president, as the company continues to build on its momentum in both the unscripted and scripted spaces.
In his new position, Kronish (pictured) will lead the executive management team alongside managing director Jason Simms and C3 founder Pablo Salzman — who is now taking on the role of head of content — and spearhead the strategic direction and operational performance of the company, working to identify content opportunities and grow C3’s slate of premium documentaries, unscripted and scripted series, feature films and formats.
Kronish arrives at C3 Media from Montreal-headquartered Muse Entertainment, where he served for nearly four years as SVP, unscripted and documentary. During his tenure at Muse, he collaborated with C3 as an executive producer on the true-crime docuseries In Cold Water: The Shelter Bay Mystery for Prime Video, and the feature doc Kings of Coke for Bell Media’s Crave streaming platform. He will also retain EP credits on several forthcoming Muse productions, including the recently announced CBC docuseries Running Smoke.
Prior to Muse, Kronish served as EVP of Vice Media, where he launched and oversaw the Canadian production studio for Vice’s content platforms, including the cable network Viceland.
“C3 Media has been steadily growing its output in scripted, premium documentary series, and features, becoming a valued coproduction partner with companies in Canada and globally,” said Kronish in a statement announcing his appointment. “There’s a great opportunity to build on this momentum and continue to collaborate with talented creatives from around the world to deliver high quality content for multiple platforms.”
Other recent unscripted productions from C3 Media include Secrets of the Bunny Ranch for A&E and the Gavin McInnes profile It’s Not Funny Anymore: Vice to Proud Boys for Canada’s CBC.
