Winnipeg-based production company Eagle Vision has launched two sister companies and promoted a new head of content.
The two companies include the new content brand Live From Winnipeg and the business affairs service Good Faith. They were announced on Monday (June 9) as part of its 25-year anniversary panel at the 2025 Banff World Media Festival, where the company spoke about its future plans and upcoming projects.
Live From Winnipeg, helmed by Eagle Vision co-owner Rebecca Gibson along with head of development Maxine Bruce, will feature a slate of comedy, drama, unscripted and narrative programming. The company has optioned Maureen Jennings’ Paradise Café Mysteries book series and are currently in early development and seeking broadcasters on a procedural based on the books. Also on Live From Winnipeg’s development slate is the factual series Museum Mysteries.
Good Faith is run by Kyle Irving along with head of business affairs and producer Hannah Johnson. The company will support creatives in contracting, legal and business affairs.
The two companies join Eagle Vision’s distribution company Migizi Distribution and its props and production services house Talon Production Services.
Eagle Vision has also promoted Playback‘s 2024 10 to Watch alum Dinae Robinson to head of content, in which she will oversee all Indigenous-led projects while simultaneously developing her own. She will continue to contribute to Eagle Vision as a writer, director, producer, series creator and showrunner. Robinson is working as a co-showrunner for APTN’s upcoming fifth season of Taken, a docuseries on missing and murdered Indigenous people.
“This new slate of companies encompasses a wide yet focused range of goals based on who we are today and where we are going,” said Lisa Meeches (pictured), Eagle Vision president and founding partner, in a statement. “Storytelling is medicine, first and foremost we are storytellers, now and into the future with Eagle Vision, we want to create space for people to grow and thrive so that is what Kyle, Rebecca and Hannah are continuing to do with Good Faith and Live From Winnipeg.”
