The Quebecor Fund’s board of directors have announced the production companies receiving more than $2.1 million in funding under the 50th round of its Television Production Assistance Program.
A total of $785,000 was awarded across four projects under the Support for the Creation of Intellectual Property component. They are Productions Untamed 5, Écho Média, PVP Média and Happy Camper Média. The broadcasters supporting these projects are TVA Group, Société Radio‑Canada, Télé‑Québec and TFO, respectively.
Under the Support for the Production of Intellectual Property for International Markets component, $1,340,231 has been granted across seven fiction series. This includes season five of Société Radio‑Canada’s Plan B (KOTV), Crave’s Dérive (Zone 3), and season two of TVA Group’s Détective Surprenant (V10 Media).
Rounding out the supported series are second seasons of Crave’s Le retour d’Anna Brodeur (Sphere Media) and Crave’s Les Armes (Aetios Productions), as well as Bell Media’s Coup de feu! (Duo Productions) and TVA Group’s Prescott (Pixcom Productions).
