2025 CSAs now streaming on Crave

The awards ceremony will be available for a one-month window on the Bell Media-owned streamer.

Yesterday (June 2), the 2025 Canadian Screen Awards (CSAs) were also made available to stream on Crave as of 8 pm EST.

According to a CSA spokesperson, the arrangement between the streamers came about after the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television had conversations with CBC and Bell Media on how to amplify this year’s awards. The 2025 edition will be available on Crave for a one-month window, the spokesperson told Playback Daily.

“We’re incredibly grateful to both CBC and Bell Media for working together to help us bring the Canadian Screen Awards to more viewers across the country,” said the spokesperson.

The Lisa Gilroy-hosted awards (pictured) saw The Apprentice (Scythia Films, Tailored Films, Profile Pictures) win Best Motion Picture while Crave’s Canada’s Drag Race (Blue Ant Studios), Citytv’s Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (Cameron Pictures, Lark Productions) and CTV’s Children Ruin Everything (New Metric Media) won best series honours.

“For the first time, two of our nation’s biggest streaming platforms are joining forces to shine a brighter spotlight on Canadian talent and creativity,” said Tammy Frick, Canadian Academy president in a statement.

On the new partnership, Frick added: “Together, we’re celebrating the best of Canada — our voices, our stories and the communities that shape them — and making sure they’re widely seen and celebrated from coast to coast to coast.”

The 90-minute award ceremony initially aired live on CBC and CBC Gem from the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto on Sunday (June 1). It is also available on demand via Gem. Initially, the awards were only intended to stream on Gem, but on May 29 CBC announced the ceremony would air on the pubcaster proper due to the completion of the NHL Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals in five games.
