Fresh TV launches Total Drama on Roblox, Fortnite

Experiences based on the popular animated mockumentary series will be available in beta beginning June 1.

Toronto-based Fresh TV has launched two new gaming experiences based on its Cartoon Network series Total Drama for both Roblox (pictured) and Fortnite.

Part of an initiative called Total Drama Games, both experiences will be available for players in beta on June 1. According to a release, gamers will be able to complete challenges, form alliances and rivalries. They can also explore the Camp Wawanakwa setting from the series.

The beta stages will last between three to six weeks but both experiences will be permanent, a Fresh TV spokesperson tells Playback Daily.

Since first premiering in 2007, the Total Drama franchise has had seven seasons including a revival in 2023, coproduced with Corus Entertainment, and a spin-off show. The animated mockumentary series is set inside a fictional reality TV show following a group of teens in an elimination-style competition.

The revival aired in two halves from October 21, 2023 to April 14, 2024. The second half is set to air on Cartoon Network in the U.S. on May 31, with episodes available to stream the next day on Max. The series is distributed internationally by London-based Cake Entertainment.

“As we’ve watched the Total Drama audience embrace interactive gaming, we wanted to evolve alongside them,” said Tom McGillis, co-creator and Fresh TV executive producer, in a statement. “By launching Total Drama Games, we want our fans to be able to experience the franchise in new and hilarious ways.”
