Bell Media adds Celeste Parr’s Prejudice to development slate

A series order for the project would mark the first show produced under Bell Media’s content licensing and distribution agreement with Fox Entertainment Global.

Bell Media has come to a development agreement for a new drama series, Prejudice, from creator, writer and showrunner Celeste Parr (Plan B; pictured left), making it potentially the first production under Bell Media’s content licensing and distribution agreement with Fox Entertainment Global.

Toronto’s Neshama Entertainment is attached to produce, with Montreal’s Pixcom and Keshet International on as executive producers. Bell Media, Neshama and Fox Entertainment Global are currently in co-development on a second script for the series. Pixcom and Keshet had previously announced in 2024 that they were partnering to develop the legal drama with Parr.

Prejudice, which currently has Emily VanCamp (Captain America: Civil War; pictured right) starring, follows a rising litigator whose life and career is upended when her past as a sex worker is exposed.

Prejudice tackles complex themes including identity, judgment, and resilience with unflinching honesty,” said Justin Stockman, VP, content development and programming, Bell Media, in a statement. “Celeste Parr has crafted a gripping narrative that is sure to captivate audiences, and the immensely talented Emily VanCamp is the perfect actor to bring this powerful story to life.”

VanCamp is represented by Thruline Entertainment and UTA. Parr is repped by Thruline Entertainment, Carl Liberman at the Characters Talent Agency and Alex Bloch from 42.
