Fenix Film & Television adds Kristen Boychuk as unscripted VP

Boychuk's past credits include Farming for Love with Lark Productions and Styled with Great Pacific Media.

Alberta-based prodco Fenix Film & Television has hired Kristen Boychuk as VP of unscripted development.

Assuming the role effective immediately, Boychuk is responsible for identifying and developing a diverse slate of projects across genres that align with market demand. She also oversees the execution of all creative aspects of unscripted development from conceptualization to delivery.

Before joining Fenix, Boychuk was with Vancouver’s Lark Productions where she was a co-executive producer on the first season of CTV’s Farming for Love and the casting director for the reality series’ second season.

Prior to joining Lark, Boychuk served as director of development for Burnaby, B.C.-based Great Pacific Media, where she worked on series such as the Home Network renovation and design-focused Styled and USA Network‘s B.C. slope logging docuseries Mud Mountain Haulers. She also previously worked at Vancouver-based Omnifilm Entertainment as a senior development producer.

Founded in 2019, Fenix is one of the prodcos behind the CBC docuseries Push. Fenix also co-produced Kendra Kincade’s feature documentary Only Up, which premiered on Super Channel on Jan. 20, 2024.

“With Fenix’s continued focus on premium factual and documentary content, Kristen’s proven track record and undeniable talent in the unscripted space will be an asset to our growing team,” said Fenix founder and executive producer Kaitlan Stewart, in a statement.
