Writer-director Pavan Moondi’s latest feature Middle Life is entering post-production as it has wrapped production in L.A.
The romantic comedy stars the singers of Toronto alternative rock band July Talk, Peter Dreimanis (Sinners; pictured right) and Leah Fay Goldstein (Diamond Tongues; pictured left). The film began shooting in Toronto in December and finished in L.A. on Jan. 20, Moondi told Playback Daily.
Middle Life follows a new mom who unexpectedly saves a stranger from a roadside accident and the pair form an unlikely friendship over the next 18 months.
Also starring is Luke Lalonde (Sundowners), frontman for Toronto-based indie rock band Born Ruffians; Norah Sadava (Mouthpiece); and Colin Burgess (Dad & Step-Dad).
Middle Life is independently financed and produced by Moondi, Dreimanis, Goldstein, cinematographer Jared Raab (BlackBerry) and Dean Perlmutter of Toronto’s Smash Arts. Executive producers include July Talk bassist Josh Warburton of Toronto-based Vulture Culture Films, Mark Homza and Philippe LeBlanc of Time and Tide Entertainment, Chetan Bhanot, Michael Dotsikas and Abraham Sanjakdar. The production team holds worldwide distribution rights.

He is represented by Dave Rath and John Dunne at Independent Artists Media as well as Kaplan Stahler.
