New Metric Media is developing an official video game based on its popular Letterkenny spinoff Crave original comedy series Shoresy with the Toronto-based independent studio Treewood Games.
Shoresy: The NOSHO is an arcade-style hockey role-playing game coming to Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in 2025.
The game was first previewed at the Shoresy Fall Classic, a hockey tour of five North American arenas in which series creator and star Jared Keeso competed against retired players from the Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks. The tour sold more than 25,000 tickets, according to a release.
The video game and hockey tour are part of Toronto-based New Metric’s brand strategy for Shoresy that includes merchandise such as Funko Pops as well as alcoholic beverages like Puppers Golden Lager.
Shoresy is produced by New Metric alongside Play Fun Games and Bell Media. Shoresy‘s 6 x 30-minute season four wrapped in Sudbury, Ont. in September. It is set to be released on Crave in winter 2025. New Metric is the distributor and sales agent for the series.
The series is produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, Ontario Creates and provincial and federal tax credits.
