Bell Fibe TV1 has commissioned the documentary series Legion of Honour.

The 6 x 10-minute series about past and present members of Branch 133 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Cobourg, Ont. is produced by local prodco Eelay Media.

Legion of Honour spotlights the work of the veterans’ organization founded in 1928, as well as its volunteers and community partners.

Production on the series began in October and will continue throughout November. The documentary is scheduled to air on Bell Fibe TV1 in 2025.

Legion of Honour is produced by Eelay Media’s Mark Johnston and Deb Hulme alongside Graham Beer and Jeff Morgan.

“It is an honour and a privilege to be able to portray what the Cobourg Legion and its veterans do for the community,” said Branch 133 president Janet Kyle, in a statement. “Over the past year, we have donated over $52,000 through our lotteries and are thrilled to share our local impact.”

“Cobourg holds a potent and proud history of heroes in the Canadian military,” added Eelay Media president Johnston. “Each episode displays the rich and vital role of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Legion’s contributions to the Cobourg community.”
