Prime Video launches streaming bundle with Hayu, StackTV

The bundle, available through Prime Video, includes the all-reality streaming service Hayu and StackTV.

Amazon’s Prime Video has launched a streaming bundle packaging together NBCUniversal’s Hayu and Corus’ StackTV subscriptions.

The bundle includes all-reality streaming service Hayu, which launched in Canada in 2018, and the multi-channel service StackTV, which launched in 2019 as a channel package through Prime Video. StackTV has since expanded and is available through other streaming services such as FuboTV as well as through the Bell Fibe TV app, Rogers Ignite and Ignite Streaming.

The package includes franchises such as The Real Housewives and Below Deck (pictured) as well as current seasons of Survivor and Top Chef Canada.

The price for the bundle is set at $14.99 per month, according to the release, which estimates a 25% reduction in cost for the combined subscriptions. The monthly prices for the individual services are $6.99 for Hayu and $12.99 for StackTV through Prime Video. An Amazon Prime subscription costs $9.99 monthly.

“By pairing StackTV’s extensive lineup of top entertainment and lifestyle shows, with Hayu’s all-reality content, we’re delivering even more value and variety for Canadian viewers, all in one place,” said Drew Robinson, VP, content distribution, Corus Entertainment in a statement.

The bundle is billed as the first of its kind in Canada, read the release. Other bundling options made available to Canadian consumers this year include the Stream+ bundle from Telus, which offers Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video for $20 per month in a basic package with ad-supported versions.
