Bobsledding doc in the works from Tyson Media

Redemption Run, about the Canadian team's prep for the 2026 Milan Olympics, will be written and directed by Jamila Pomeroy.

Vancouver’s Tyson Media is in development on a Canadian bobsledding documentary, titled Redemption Run.

Jamila Pomeroy (Union Street) is on board to direct the 90-minute film, with Toronto’s Serial Maven Studios set to distribute.

Tyson Hepburn (Rust Valley Restorers), president and director of Tyson Media, signed a development deal with former medalists-turned-coaches and administrators Justin Kripps, Ryan Sommer and Lyndon Rush for a documentary focused on the Canadian men’s and women’s bobsleigh skeleton teams while in preparation for the 2026 Milan Olympics.

“There’s been a proliferation of sports documentaries, but no one has successfully covered bobsleigh from a behind-the-scenes perspective, and our team believes it’s time to shine a light on it,” said Hepburn in a statement.

Kripps added that the doc will show the changes to the bobsledding program in the last few years due to reduced funding. “It’s an untold story of grit, drama, trials and tribulations as our athletes give everything for the chance to represent Canada on the world stage.”

Tyson Media is also set to deliver the Bell Media docuseries My Pet Ate What? in January 2025.

Serial Maven Studios was launched this January by former Blue Ant Media executives Solange Attwood as CEO and Asha Daniere as president. The studio launched its distribution division in September, led by Attwood.
