Philippe Falardeau’s latest film wraps in Montreal

Mille secrets mille dangers is an adaptation of Montreal author Alain Farah's novel of the same name.

Director Philippe Falardeau has completed production on his tenth feature, Mille secrets mille dangers.

The film is an adaptation of the eponymous novel of the same name by Montreal author Alain Farah, with Falardeau and Farah co-writing the script.

The drama is produced by micro_scope co-founders Kim McCraw (Incendies) and Luc Déry (Shepherds). Filming began in in Montreal on Aug. 22 and wrapped on Tuesday (Oct. 22).

Mille secrets mille dangers focuses on a man played by Neil Elias Abdelwahab (La vie composé by Léa Olivier; pictured, left) plunged into anxiety on the day of his wedding.

The film also stars comedian Hassan Mahbouba, Rose-Marie Perreault (La Cordonnière; pictured, right), Rose-Anne Déry (The Night Logan Woke Up), Natalie Tannous (The Last Meal), Paul Ahmarani (Like Fire), Georges Khabbaz (Under the Bombs) and Hiam Abou Chedid (Cash Flow).

Les Films Opale is the Canadian distributor and will release the film in 2025.

Mille secrets mille dangers is supported by SODEC, Telefilm Canada, Radio-Canada and Les Films Opale, as well as provincial and federal tax credits.

Falardeau is best known for his 2011 film Monsieur Lazhar, which was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards.
