CTV has renewed reality competition series The Amazing Race Canada for an 11th season.
The network announced the renewal on Wednesday (Sept. 11), one day after airing the season 10 finale. The new season will run in 2025.
The Amazing Race Canada is produced by Boat Rocker-owned Insight Productions in association with CTV. The series held onto its title as CTV’s No. 1 summer series for its 10th outing with an average of 1.3 million viewers, according to Bell Media.
Hosted by Olympic gold medallist Jon Montgomery, the reality series follows pairs of Canadians as they compete in various challenges in a race across Canada, vying for a $250,000 prize.
Showrunner Mark Lysakowski serves as executive producer alongside Insight’s John Brunton.
Insight Productions entered an agreement to sell its remaining ownership shares to majority stakeholder Boat Rocker this summer. The deal is expected to close before the end of the year. Boat Rocker acquired its majority share in the company in 2018.
