Amuz Distribution will be handling sales for the Starmania 45th anniversary special.
The performance of the musical variety show was filmed on Aug. 23 and was produced by Michel Berger of and Luc Plamondon of ComediHa! music division Sismyk. The show was directed by Scott Price, who recently directed Celine Dion’s Paris Olympic opening ceremony performance.
Starmania will be broadcast in Canada on Radio-Canada and in France on France Télévision.
The production had a budget of $3 million and featured more than 400 artisans and technicians, 12 augmented reality cameras, 3,500 square feet of stage area, 600 light projectors, 500 LED tiles and two 10 x 20-foot screens.
The show features a cast of more than 30 artists, including Anne Sila, Bruno Pelletier, Claude Dubois, Daniel Lavoie, Diane Tell, Élodie Frégé, Fabienne Thibeault, Garou, Hélène Ségara, Isabelle Boulay, Michaël Gregorio, Peter Kingsbery, Pierre Lapointe, Shy’m, Véronic DiCaire, Vincent Niclo, as well as the cast of the current Starmania Tour, and more.
Amuz Distribution was launched in May 2023 as a rebrand from its original incarnation, ComediHa! Distribution.
