Principal photography has wrapped in Ottawa on writer-director Damien Fannon’s artificial intelligence (AI) horror film Ivan.
The feature is produced by Ottawa-based Megerin Films. Filming began on July 4 and wrapped on July 27.
In addition to directing, Fannon co-wrote the script with Michael Schwartz (Zombie Town). Fannon is a producer on the film alongside Avi Federgreen (Lethal Love).
Ivan is set in 1999 and sees a villainous father gift his daughter and ex-wife with an AI device that can possess people.

Ivan was privately financed, according to producers. The budget was not disclosed. Sales rights to the film were still available at press time.
