Canadian actor Scott Anthony Cavalheiro (Good Witch) is heading behind the camera for his directorial debut, Plan C.
The crime thriller has commenced principal photography in the Greater Toronto Area and the Windsor-Essex region, with shooting scheduled through August.
Plan C is written and directed by Cavalheiro, who is producing it under the banner Stained Tie Films alongside his wife Claire Cavalheiro (Man Seeking Woman), who stars in the film and serves as executive producer.
The film is described as a gritty tale of desperation and follows siblings on the run after a robbery gone wrong, with Daniel DeSanto (Mean Girls) and Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill) also starring.
The cast is rounded out by Jamie Spilchuk (Defining Moments), Joris Jarsky (Saw V), Kris Holden-Ried (Departure) and Kylee Evans (Luckiest Girl Alive).
Plan C was privately financed and a distributor was not attached at press time. The film is expected to be released in 2025.
