Neil McEneaney has stepped down as CEO of audience measurement company Numeris.
The company announced Tuesday (July 10) that McEneaney (pictured left) was stepping down effective immediately. Sue Haas (pictured right), president and COO of Numeris subsidiary NLogic, has been named interim CEO.
Numeris will undergo a comprehensive search for a new CEO, according to a news release.
The change in leadership “aligns with Numeris’ ongoing focus on meeting the shifting needs of the media industry in Canada,” read the release, noting there is “a greater need for audience measurement that is transparent, standardized and privacy-compliant.”
“Now is the right time to boldly reimagine the role Numeris plays and how it can best support its clients and stakeholders,” said Greg McLelland, chair of the board at Numeris and EVP and chief revenue officer at Corus Entertainment, in a statement. “This leadership change sets the stage for the next chapter in measurement, as we continue to deliver a trusted trading currency for TV and radio while moving swiftly towards more holistic measurement of both content and advertising.”
McEneaney was appointed as CEO of Numeris in 2016 after spending more than a decade at CBC, where he served as chief business officer of English services.
Haas joined NLogic in 2023 from her role as SVP, digital, global media at Blue Ant Media.
McLelland added that McEneaney “has been instrumental in advancing Numeris’ measurement agenda, including the development and launch of VAM [Video Audience Measurement] and Enhanced TAM [Television Audience Measurement].”
