Carver Music Group partners with Warner Music Canada

For film and TV producers, the partnership creates a one-stop shop for access to Carver's production and sync expertise and Warner's catalogue.

Toronto-based Carver Music Group has inked an agreement with Warner Music Canada which will create new opportunities for producers working in film, TV and music.

The agreement, which was announced on Thursday (May 30), will see Carver Music team up with Warner’s sync and brand teams.

For film and TV producers, the partnership streamlines the creative process and creates a one-stop shop to access Warner’s catalogue or new bespoke music from the producer team at Carver, a spokesperson for the two companies told Playback Daily. Producers will also be able to access real-time consultation for their music needs.

Carver provides producer management, master catalogue, and sync and licensing services. The company is comprised of a collective of industry professionals including its CEO, Christopher Martin, who also fronts DOOGOOD Music/Post Office Sound, Kevin Barton of Loft Entertainment, Josh Pothier of Kingsway Music Library, and Rob Woe, Chris “CVRE” Kim of Prototype Creative Agency.

The partnership will allow it to leverage its relationships with music producers within Warner Music Canada’s genre-spanning catalogue “to expand on their unique approach to music licensing and executive music production,” according to a news release.

Kristen Burke, president, Warner Music Canada, said in a statement that Carver’s “collaborative and creative approach to film, television, and brands will create new opportunities for Warner Music Canada’s incredible catalogue.”

Warner Music Canada is the Canadian arm of New York City-headquartered Warner Music Group. Its Recorded Music division includes Atlantic, Elektra, Parlophone and Warner Records.
