Netflix’s drama series Bridgerton rose to second spot on the digital originals chart in Canada into the start of May.
Bridgerton was 33.6 times more in demand than the average TV series in Canada for the week of April 29 to May 5, according to Parrot Analytics. The series (pictured) jumped up from No. 4 in the previous week to No. 2 on the digital list and entered the overall TV chart at No. 5.
Also entering the chart was Delicious In Dungeon (27.1), a Netflix original in Canada, which came in at No. 6. The Japanese anime series, based on the manga by Ryoko Kui, made its debut on Tokyo MX in Japan in January, with Netflix releasing new episodes every week internationally.
Elsewhere on the digital chart, Prime Video’s Hazbin Hotel (53.3) continued to lead, with other series from the streamer The Boys (29.3), Invincible (28.9) and Fallout (28.0) taking the third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
On the overall TV chart, HBO’s Game of Thrones (40.2) climbed from No. 7 to No. 2 with a more than four-point bump in demand points.
The coverage of the NBA — available on TSN — broke into the top two of the chart, with an average of 37 demand points.
HBO’s Last Week Tonight With John Oliver (30.5) dropped from No. 2 to No. 9 after a dip of more than eight demand points, while NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (31.8) entered the chart at No. 9.

Editor’s note: Due to a data processing issue with Parrot Analytics, the weekly Hot Sheet is being published with back-dated numbers for an indefinite period.
Parrot Analytics calculates its Top 10 lists using Demand Expressions, which are shown by using a metric that demonstrates how much more in-demand the top series are than the average TV show (linear, pay TV, SVOD and AVOD) in Canada. For example, a difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
