Horror thriller Night Comes to film in Vancouver this summer

The film is fully financed by Big Picture Cinema Group, which is producing with L.A.'s Impossible Dream Entertainment.

Vancouver-based production and financing outfit Big Picture Cinema Group and L.A.’s Impossible Dream Entertainment have partnered to produce the feature Night Comes.

The horror thriller is directed by Jay Hernandez, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jason Bourque and Nancy Isaak. Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials; pictured) and Samantha Lorraine (You are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah) star.

Night Comes is produced by Impossible Dream Entertainment partners Shaun Redick (Get Out) and Yvette Yates Redick (Day Shift), alongside Big Picture Cinema Group partners Jayce Barriero and Jacky Lai. Executive producers are Hernandez, Keen, Jared Zhang, Graem Luis and Jason Bourque.

The film takes place during a cataclysmic event, following two girls as they fight to survive – not just for themselves, but for all of humanity.

Principal photography will begin late summer in Vancouver. Big Picture Cinema Group is fully financing.

The film marks the feature directorial debut for Hernandez, who is best known for his performances in Hostel, Suicide Squad and the Magnum P.I. revival.

Hernandez is represented by CAA and Alchemy Entertainment. Keen is represented by Independent Talent Group, Liebman Entertainment, Public Eye Communications and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
