La Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) has selected 14 features in the latest round of its production aid program.
The films were selected out of 84 submissions to the program, according to a news release.
Eight of the 14 films have a budget of $3.5 million or greater, including two international coproductions: Canada/Poland/Belgium drama Devenir un monstre (Films du Boulevard, Apple Film Production, Gapbusters), written by Simon Lavoie and directed by Charles-Olivier Michaud; and Canada/Belgium/Spain youth animation Les bottanïx (CarpeDiem Film & TV, Stacka, Animar Media Studio), written by Marie-France Landry and Anastasia Michailidis, and directed by Benoît Godbout. Maison 4:3 is the distributor for both films.

The other six selected films have a budget of less than $3.5 million, including the drama En Scène! (Bel Ange Moon + Oshun Productions), written by Ayana O’Shun, Bianca Bellange and Matt Holland and directed by O’Shun.
