Bell Media has signed an agreement with Amazon to bring its streaming service Crave to Prime Video Channels in Canada.
The deal will make Crave’s $22 top tier, ad-free plan available as an add-on to customers through their Prime Video account. The launch date is yet to be announced.
Bell Media president Sean Cohan said in a statement that the deal will “expand the reach of Crave” and make the service available to “as many Canadians as possible.”
Crave’s original programming includes the upcoming comedy The Trades and French-language drama In Memoriam; it also includes titles such as Canada’s Drag Race (pictured), Shoresy, and Billionaire Murders.
The price for Crave’s top tier plan was increased in January from $19.99 to $22. At the time, a spokesperson for Bell Media told Playback Daily that the increase was the first since 2018. Since then, the company has “significantly” invested in original and acquired programming, and the increase will allow the company “to continue to evolve the Crave product experience, and deliver Crave on major consumer platforms.”
