Builder Brothers Dream Factory heads to Europe, Asia

The 3D-animated preschool series has been picked up by ITV for the U.K., in addition to sales in other territories.

Preschool series Builder Brothers Dream Factory is setting up shop overseas, thanks to a number of sales by distributor Nelvana.

The Corus Entertainment-owned distributor, licensing agent and prodco announced Monday (Oct. 30) that the 40 x 11-minute 3D-animated series has been acquired by ITV for streaming platform ITVX in the U.K., Warner Bros. Discovery for Southeast Asia, distributor Genial Media for Spain, media company Senyu for China, and public broadcaster NRK for Norway.

Produced by Toronto’s Sinking Ship Entertainment and Scott Brothers Entertainment, the series follows child versions of the real-life Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, as they use their skills and imagination to solve problems in their neighbourhood.

It was previously picked up by Discovery Kids Latin America as well as Treehouse for Canada, where it premiered on March 26. The series is also available in Canada on Corus’ streaming service StackTV.

Executive producers on Builder Brothers Dream Factory include Scott Brothers Entertainment’s Drew and Jonathan Scott and Amory Millard, and Sinking Ship’s Carla de Jong, Matt Bishop and Blair Powers.
