Katrina Kowalski to oversee Pluto TV’s international content

The Toronto-based exec most recently served as VP of content for Pluto TV and Paramount+ in Canada.

Paramount+ Canada exec Katrina Kowalski (pictured) has been promoted to SVP of international content, programming and acquisitions for Pluto TV.

Kowalski will remain based in Toronto, and will lead Pluto TV’s content strategy and partnerships in markets outside of the U.S., according to an internal memo issued to staff and obtained by Playback Daily.

The role reports to Olivier Jollet, EVP and international GM of Pluto TV, and Jeff Grossman, EVP, streaming content and business operations at Paramount.

Kowalski most recently held the role of VP of content for Pluto TV and Paramount+ in Canada, where she oversaw the launch of Pluto TV in Canada in partnership with Corus Entertainment, and the creation of Paramount+ Canada’s original content development slate alongside Tom Hastings, head of original programming.

She will continue to oversee the Canadian business in the interim, with further details to come, a spokesperson for Paramount+ Canada tells Playback.

Prior to her role at Paramount, Kowalski worked for two decades at Bell Media, including four years as director of programming and digital content.
