OUTtv has renewed design competition series Sew Fierce for a second season.
The format, produced by Caledonia, Ont.-based prodco Sonic Nursery Creative, sees eight drag designers compete in a series of elimination challenges to find the cream of the crop in drag fashion. Season one of Sew Fierce premiered on April 14 in Canada and internationally.
The 8 x 60-minute new season will be co-hosted by British-Canadian drag artist Crystal (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK) and Lucinda Miu, who returns to the show after serving as a mentor in season one. Production is now underway in the Greater Toronto Area, ahead of an expected spring 2024 release.
Sonic Nursery’s Kyle Whitelaw is the series producer. Executive producers include OUTtv’s Philip Webb, Brad Danks, Lauren Whitelaw and Anthony Jiwa, and Producer Entertainment Group’s Stevenson Greene, Jacob Slane and David Charpentier. OUTtv Media Global handles format sales and worldwide distribution.
