Cineflix Rights sets American Pickers FAST channel on Pluto TV

The newly launched channel builds on Cineflix's expansion into the FAST space earlier this year.

Cineflix Rights has launched its first-ever single-brand free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel on Pluto TV in Canada, featuring the long-running antiques show American Pickers, produced by Cineflix Productions.

The channel features more than 200 episodes of the show, according to a press release. A 12th season for History U.S. is currently in production.

The American Pickers channel builds on Cineflix’s initial launch of multi-series, genre-themed FAST channels, which debuted on various platforms, including Freevee and Xumo Play in the U.S. and Roku in Canada. The channels are Real Disaster Channel (Mayday: Air Disaster, Dangerous Flights), Crime & Justice (Bizarre Murders, Crimes That Shook Britain), and Property & Reno (Dream Home Makeovers with Sophie Robinson, Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever)

Ad-supported streamer Pluto TV launched in Canada last December through a partnership with Corus Entertainment, debuting with more than 30 FAST channels dedicated to Cancon. The platform has since announced additional partnerships with Blue Ant Media and OUTtv.

Mike Gould, SVP, digital, Cineflix Rights said in a statement that “American Pickers is the ideal single series to catapult our move into the FAST channels business.”

The show follows series creator and professional treasure hunter Mike Wolfe and his crew as they journey across the U.S. in search of rusty treasures.

Cineflix Rights will announce additional distribution deals for its four FAST brands later this year, said the release.
